Why there is no single price

A USPA-endorsed US manufacturer puts it plainly: there is no one number that answers what a padel court costs. The total depends on the site, the foundation (often an engineered concrete slab), drainage, electrical work, lighting, shipping and installation, and on choices such as a panoramic court with more glass (Sportsfield Specialties, How Much Does a Padel Court Cost?, August 3, 2026). Outdoors, grading, drainage and wind loads come in; in an existing building there is less site work but the building has to be fitted out.

Indoors: how many courts set the budget

The number of courts sets most of the budget, and it is rarely the floor area divided by 2,150 sq ft. With the planner's minimum rules:

BuildingCourtsSq ft per court
10,000 sq ft33,300
15,000 sq ft43,800
20,000 sq ft45,000
30,000 sq ft93,300
40,000 sq ft123,300

What is not in the price of the courts

  • The building or the land: Buying or leasing it, which varies more from one metro area to another than anything else.
  • Fitting out the building: Leveling or replacing the floor, removing what is there, fire separation and exits.
  • What is not a court: Front desk, locker rooms, restrooms, storage and, if you want one, a café or lounge.
  • Building services: HVAC, fire protection and electrical work, and lighting if it does not come with the courts.
  • Design and approvals: Zoning and building permits, and fees for the architect, structural engineer and any consultants.

Padel court quotes you can compare

Each builder quotes its own layout, so the quotes cannot be compared. With a dimensioned plan they all start from the same courts in the same place. In the planner you draw your building with its columns and real height and, at the end, if you like, we pass your plan to up to 3 installers and manufacturers in your area so they can quote on it. Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to build a padel court?

A 2026 guide from a US padel directory puts most single outdoor courts at $25,000 to $60,000, with a typical mid-range build at $35,000–$45,000. These are the publisher's estimates, not a survey: get quotes on your own site.

How much does an indoor padel court cost?

The same guide puts indoor courts at $70,000–$100,000 and up per court, counting the building shell, roof, interior lighting and HVAC. In an existing warehouse, what you pay depends on the fit-out the building needs.

How much does the base or slab cost?

About $5,000–$8,000 in asphalt and $8,000–$12,000 in concrete, according to that guide, which adds that grading, drainage or a difficult slope can move the total by tens of thousands.

How much space does a padel court need?

The court is 20 × 10 m (about 66 × 33 ft), but with the access zone, clearances and a walkway to the exit, warehouses from 12,000 to 60,000 sq ft work out at roughly 2,900 to 5,000 sq ft per court in our layouts.
