Padel court planner
Design your padel club online: draw your building or site, its roof, columns and entrances, and the engine lays out the most courts that fit, in seconds, in 2D and 3D. Free, with no sign-up to design.
Design your padel club online in six steps
From an empty building to a dimensioned plan. Your own building takes a few minutes; the solved example, about one.
Draw your building or site
Width × length, indoors or outdoors. In metres or in feet.
Set the roof
Flat, gable or mono-pitch, with the eaves and ridge heights. The planner works out the clear height over each part of the floor.
Place columns and entrances
Drag and drop them, or type their exact position. Add emergency exits and areas you want to keep free, such as reception.
Choose the rules and calculate
Minimum rules or competition rules, and adjust any clearance. The engine computes the layout with the most courts in seconds; you can add singles courts.
Check it in 3D and on the routes
Orbit the club with your mouse or finger, and turn on the Routes layer to see how people get from each court to each exit.
Get the dimensioned plan
Leave your contact details and download the plan as a PDF, with setting-out coordinates from 0,0. If you like, ask for up to 3 quotes on it from installers in your area.
A padel court layout tool that checks the rules
Floor area is not the answer. A building can have the square feet and lose courts to a column, to a low eave or to an access zone that runs into the next court. The planner checks each of these on every layout:
| What it checks | How |
|---|---|
| Clear height under the roof | Flat, gable (two slopes), mono-pitch or arched roof, with its eaves and ridge heights. It checks the clear height over every court and shows where courts can go under a pitched roof. |
| Columns | Placed one by one or on a grid, by drag and drop or with exact coordinates. No court or access zone may touch one. |
| Access zone at each court opening | A clear zone outside the side opening of every court, 8 × 2 m by default, on one side or on both (competition). |
| Clearances | Between courts, and between courts and walls, at the sides and at the ends. Each one can be edited. |
| Walkways | A 1.2 m clear walkway from every entrance to the door of every court. A court you cannot walk to does not count. |
| Evacuation routes | The Routes layer draws the real path from each court to each entrance and emergency exit, and gives the longest one. |
| Outdoors | North–south long axis for outdoor courts, which you can switch off if you choose. |
| Singles courts | Optional 20 × 6 m singles courts, added after the doubles courts, in gaps where a doubles court does not fit. |
| Units | Metres or feet, switched with one tap. |
Two rule presets: minimum rules, the densest layout that complies, and competition, with 2 m clear all round and a clear zone on both sides of each court, so players can fetch the ball. The court itself follows the FIP padel court dimensions.
25,000 sq ft, 6 courts
This is what the engine gives for a clear-span building of 38 × 61 m with 8 m clear height and one entrance on a long side, using the LTA clearances: 1.5 m between courts and an 8 × 2 m access zone at each side opening.
Open it, move the entrance or add a column, and the courts are recalculated. More layouts: courts by building size and padel courts on a tennis court.
See a solved example first
On the first screen of the planner, “See the solved example” loads a 44 × 62 m building with three columns, an entrance and an emergency exit, solves it and shows it in 3D in seconds. It is the quickest way to see what the tool does before you enter your own building.
Free to design, and what you leave in exchange
Designing is free and needs no sign-up: draw, calculate, move courts and look at them in 3D as often as you like. To download the dimensioned plan as a PDF, you leave your contact details. At that point you can also, if you want, ask for up to 3 quotes from installers and manufacturers in your area, all on your plan: how padel court quotes work.
Frequently asked questions
Is the padel court planner free?
Yes. Designing is free and needs no sign-up. To download the dimensioned plan as a PDF you leave your contact details; asking for quotes is optional.
Can I design a padel club in 3D?
Yes. Every layout has a 3D view of the club, with the courts, glass and mesh inside your building, which you can orbit with the mouse or a finger. Moving courts is done on the 2D plan.
How long does it take to design a padel club?
The solved example (a 44 × 62 m building with three columns) is laid out and shown in 3D in about a minute. With your own building, measurements, roof and columns, it takes a few minutes.
Does the planner work in feet?
Yes. You can switch between metres and feet at any time; the courts are still named 20 × 10 m, with the equivalent in feet.
Does it follow the LTA guidance?
You choose the rules: a minimum-rules preset or a competition preset (2 m all round and a clear zone on both sides), and you can edit every clearance. The UK layouts on this site use the LTA guidance: an 8 × 2 m access zone and 1.5 m between courts.
Can I plan padel courts on a tennis court or an outdoor site?
Yes. Choose outdoors and the courts are laid out north–south by default. There are worked examples for a tennis court and a football pitch.
What is in the dimensioned plan?
The dimensions of every court, the access zones, the routes and the rules applied, and the setting-out coordinates of every court, column and zone measured from 0,0, ready to mark out on site.
